For everyone
FetCompass is built on the premise that the kink and BDSM community deserves accurate, trustworthy information. That only works if everyone involved — us, organizers, vendors, and attendees — operates with honesty and respect.
- Consent is the foundation. Every event listed on FetCompass should operate on explicit, informed, enthusiastic consent. We do not list events that promote or normalize non-consent.
- No outing. Do not use information found on FetCompass to out anyone's identity, orientation, or participation in the community.
- No harassment. FetCompass is not a tool for targeting, harassing, or surveilling individuals or groups.
- Accuracy matters. Whether you're submitting an event, claiming a profile, or contacting us — provide accurate information. Deliberately misleading listings will be removed.
For organizers
- Run events as listed. If your event has specific requirements, dress codes, age minimums, or access conditions — they should be accurately reflected in your listing.
- Communicate changes. If an event is cancelled, postponed, or significantly changed — let us know so we can update the listing promptly.
- Safety first. We expect events listed on FetCompass to have basic safety practices in place — dungeon monitors, safewords, clearly communicated rules. We reserve the right to remove listings for events that demonstrably fail to meet basic community safety standards.
- You control your presence. You can request removal of your event or profile at any time, no questions asked.
Listings and editorial standards
FetCompass maintains editorial control over all published content. When we list your event or profile, we may edit the description for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with our editorial voice. Here's what that means in practice:
- What we edit — promotional language, unverifiable claims, keyword stuffing, excessive repetition, and anything that reads as marketing copy rather than useful information.
- What we don't change — factual details. Dates, times, locations, prices, age requirements, and dress codes are published as provided. If we can't verify a factual claim, we'll omit it rather than guess.
- What we won't publish — events we can't reasonably verify, events with no identifiable organizer, events that exist primarily to collect personal information, and events that appear designed to mislead attendees.
- Explicit content — we describe events accurately and without euphemism, but we don't publish graphic descriptions of sexual activity. The nature of an event is never a reason for exclusion — how it's described is.
If you feel an edit has changed something important or misrepresented your event, contact us and we'll work through it with you.
For vendors and educators
- Represent your work honestly. Don't overstate credentials, experience, or product claims.
- Respect your clients and students. The same standards of consent and respect that apply at events apply in your professional practice.
Reporting concerns
If you believe a listing violates these guidelines, misrepresents an event, or poses a safety concern — contact us. We take these reports seriously and will review promptly.
We are not able to mediate personal disputes or act as an enforcement body for what happens at events. Our role is limited to what we list and how we list it.
